Description

Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo is a rich, creamy pasta dish featuring succulent shrimp in a velvety Alfredo sauce, perfect for impressing guests or enjoying a cozy dinner at home.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Pasta:

  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta

For the Sauce:

  • 1 lb large peeled shrimp
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. 1. Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. 2. Sauté the Shrimp: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tbsp of butter. Add the shrimp and sauté until they turn pink and opaque (about 3 minutes per side). Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. 3. Create the Sauce: In the same skillet, add 1 tbsp of butter and minced garlic. Sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute). Pour in the heavy cream while stirring continuously. Let it simmer gently.
  4. 4. Add Cheese: Gradually whisk in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. 5. Combine Everything: Return shrimp to the skillet along with drained fettuccine. Toss until pasta is evenly coated with sauce.
  6. 6. Serve It Up: Plate your Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo, adding extra Parmesan or freshly chopped parsley if desired.
