- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2–3 cloves garlic, minced
- 28 oz canned crushed tomatoes (2 cans)
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 grated carrot
For Seasoning:
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
For Serving:
- 12 ounces spaghetti (whole wheat or gluten-free if preferred)
Instructions

- 2. Brown the Meat: Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned all over, approximately seven minutes. Ensure no pink bits remain.
- 3. Add Veggies: Stir in the grated carrot along with the canned tomatoes and tomato paste. Mix well until combined.
- 4. Season It Up: Sprinkle in oregano and basil, along with salt and pepper to taste. Allow to simmer gently on low heat for about 20-30 minutes.

- 6. Serve It Up: Toss the drained spaghetti with the bolognese sauce until evenly coated. Serve immediately.
