- 8 oz spaghetti or linguine
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
For the Sauce:
- 2 tbsp lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnishing
Instructions
- 1. Cook the Pasta:
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti or linguine and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- 2. Sauté the Shrimp:
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter with olive oil. Add shrimp and sauté until pink and opaque, about 3 minutes per side. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- 3. Make the Sauce:
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Stir in lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
- 4. Combine Everything:
- Return the shrimp to the skillet along with the remaining butter. Toss in the drained pasta and mix thoroughly until well combined.
- 5. Serve with Style:
- Plate the pasta topped with sauce and shrimp. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
