- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp butter
Instructions
- 1. Prepare Your Broth: In a saucepan, heat the chicken broth over medium heat until warm but not boiling.
- 2. Sauté the Aromatics: In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent (about 5 minutes). Stir in the minced garlic and cook until fragrant (about 2 minutes).
- 3. Toast the Rice: Add the Arborio rice to the skillet. Stir for about 2 minutes until the rice becomes slightly translucent.
- 4. Add Broth Gradually: Pour in one ladle of warm chicken broth at a time, stirring constantly until most of it is absorbed before adding more. Continue this process for approximately 20 minutes until all broth is used and rice is al dente.
- 5. Stir in Parmesan: Remove from heat and mix in the grated Parmesan cheese along with an additional pat of butter.
