- 1 package puff pastry sheets (approximately 17.3 oz)
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- 1 tbsp water (for egg wash)
For the Filling:
- 2 cups fresh fruit (berries or apples)
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
Instructions
For the Pastry:
- 1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- 2. Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface.
- 3. Cut the rolled-out dough into squares, about four inches per side.
- 4. Place a spoonful of fresh fruit filling in the center of each square.
- 5. Fold the corners of each square over the filling and pinch them closed. Use a fork to seal the edges if desired.
- 6. Mix one egg with water and brush it over the top of each pastry.
For Baking:
- 7. Place pastries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- 8. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and puffed up.
