  • 1 package puff pastry sheets (approximately 17.3 oz)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 tbsp water (for egg wash)

For the Filling:

  • 2 cups fresh fruit (berries or apples)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

For the Pastry:

  1. 1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. 2. Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface.
  3. 3. Cut the rolled-out dough into squares, about four inches per side.
  4. 4. Place a spoonful of fresh fruit filling in the center of each square.
  5. 5. Fold the corners of each square over the filling and pinch them closed. Use a fork to seal the edges if desired.
  6. 6. Mix one egg with water and brush it over the top of each pastry.

For Baking:

  1. 7. Place pastries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. 8. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and puffed up.
