Description

Indulge in these fluffy, cinnamon-swirled Honey Buns topped with a creamy glaze. They’re perfect for breakfast or as a delightful snack!

Ingredients

Scale

For the Dough:

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 2 large eggs

For the Glaze:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

For the Dough:

  1. 1. Warm one cup of milk until lukewarm. Combine with two teaspoons of active dry yeast in a bowl and let sit until foamy, about five minutes.
  2. 2. In a separate mixing bowl, whisk together four cups of all-purpose flour, half a cup of granulated sugar, one teaspoon of salt, and two teaspoons of ground cinnamon.
  3. 3. Once the yeast mixture is ready, pour it into the dry ingredients along with half a cup of melted butter and two eggs. Mix until well combined.
  4. 4. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about five minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. 5. Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl and cover with a kitchen towel. Let it rise in a warm area until doubled in size, about one hour.
  6. 6. After rising, punch down the dough and roll it out into a rectangle. Spread melted butter on top and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar (mix half cup sugar with one tablespoon cinnamon). Roll tightly and cut into even pieces.
  7. 7. Place the pieces in a greased baking pan and let them rise again for another thirty minutes while preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  8. 8. Bake for twenty-five to thirty minutes until golden brown.

For the Glaze:

  1. 9. While cooling slightly, prepare the glaze by mixing one cup powdered sugar with two tablespoons milk and one teaspoon vanilla extract until smooth.
  2. 10. Drizzle over warm buns before serving.
