Description

Enjoy a vibrant turkey taco bowl packed with seasoned turkey, black beans, fresh veggies, and creamy avocado—perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or a festive gathering.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Turkey Filling:

  • 1 lb lean ground turkey
  • 2 tbsp taco seasoning
  • 1/2 cup water or broth

For the Bowl:

  • 1 cup canned black beans, rinsed
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 ripe avocado, diced
  • 2 cups shredded lettuce (romaine or iceberg)
  • 1/2 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt

Instructions

For the Turkey Filling:

  1. 1. In a large skillet over medium heat, add 1 tbsp olive oil.
  2. 2. Add ground turkey and cook until browned (about 5-7 minutes), breaking it apart as it cooks.
  3. 3. Once browned, sprinkle in taco seasoning. Stir well and pour in water or broth. Let simmer for about 5 minutes until thickened.

For the Bowl:

  1. 4. Rinse black beans under cool water. You can warm them in a small saucepan over low heat or add them directly to the turkey mixture during step three.
  2. 5. In individual bowls, layer shredded lettuce as the base, followed by the seasoned turkey with black beans on top.
  3. 6. Finish with cherry tomatoes, diced avocado, and a generous dollop of sour cream or Greek yogurt. Customize with any extra toppings like cheese or cilantro if desired.
