- 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
- 4 cups mini marshmallows
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Prepare Your Pan: Grease a 9×9 inch baking dish with nonstick spray or butter.
- Melt Butter and Marshmallows: In a large saucepan over low heat, melt the butter completely. Add in the marshmallows, stirring gently until fully melted (about 5 minutes).
- Add Chocolate Chips: Remove from heat and quickly stir in half of the chocolate chips until melted and well combined.
- Combine with Rice Krispies: Gently fold in the Rice Krispies cereal until evenly coated, being careful not to crush the cereal.
- Spread into Pan: Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish, pressing it down evenly with a spatula or your hands. Sprinkle the remaining chocolate chips on top.
- Cool and Cut: Allow to cool at room temperature for about an hour before cutting into squares.
