Description
Indulge in a bowl of creamy garlic chicken pasta where tender chicken meets perfectly cooked pasta in a rich, savory sauce that promises comfort with every bite.
Ingredients
Scale
For the Pasta:
- 8 oz pasta (spaghetti, penne, or farfalle)
- 1 tbsp salt (for boiling water)
For the Chicken:
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 lb), cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
For the Sauce:
- 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream (or half-and-half for a lighter option)
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish
Instructions
- 1. Prepare Your Ingredients: Gather all ingredients on your countertop. Chop the chicken into bite-sized pieces and mince the garlic.
- 2. Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve about 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
- 3. Sauté Chicken: In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and sauté the chopped chicken until golden brown and cooked through (about 7 minutes). Season with salt and pepper.
- 4. Create the Sauce: Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute). Pour in heavy cream while scraping any bits from the pan for added flavor.
- 5. Combine Everything: Stir in cooked pasta along with grated parmesan cheese until well coated. If it looks too thick, add some reserved pasta water to reach your desired consistency.
- 6. Garnish & Serve: Fold in fresh basil leaves and transfer servings onto plates. Sprinkle extra parmesan over each dish if desired.
