Description

Ingredients

  • 8 oz spaghetti
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • – Optional: 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. 1. Cook the Spaghetti
  2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes.
  3. 2. Prepare the Garlic
  4. While the pasta cooks, peel and thinly slice the garlic cloves.
  5. 3. Heat the Olive Oil
  6. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil. Once hot, add the sliced garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté gently until the garlic turns golden brown, about 2 minutes.
  7. 4. Combine Pasta and Sauce
  8. Reserve about 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining the spaghetti. Toss the drained spaghetti into the skillet with the garlic oil, mixing well. If needed, add reserved pasta water for moisture.
  9. 5. Garnish and Serve
  10. Sprinkle chopped parsley generously over the pasta. If desired, grate Parmesan cheese on top before serving.
